# Import/Export

Import / Export allows you to back up your project(s) on the inSCADA platform and restore them back to the inSCADA platform.

![Figure 1 : Import/Export](https://3585470428-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-LLGnZudlzfM63QD-_cp%2F-LjW43kKfVjEyDudHOXF%2F-LjW5OUFPWn1DtQ9f6z4%2FImport_Export.png?alt=media\&token=99f7d4ff-2220-440b-82b3-04a012b0fc47)

As shown in Figure 1, you can make the selection of the project you want to export or import in the window that opens.

{% hint style="info" %}
inSCADA uses xlsx as the Import/Export file format. Thus, you will have the opportunity to quickly edit your project via excel.
